The Far Wilds Interviews will (hopefully) be a bi-weekly feature with the aim of introducing some of the more well-known and higher rated players to the general TFW player base. The ambition is that new as well as more seasoned players can gain some insights into what it takes to become a good TWF player.
The format and the questions are subject to alterations. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see added, please do not hesitate to drop me (Voices) a PM.
In an effort to continue the dialogue, it is encouraged that players continue to ask questions to the 'subject' of each interview here on the forum. But enough of this... Let's get it on!

How long have you played TFW? A few months.
How did you find out about TFW? I saw it mentioned on another website.
Tell us what your preferred domains are and why I like Sylvan most since I first started winning minor clashes with the default Sylvan. A lot has changed since then but I still like Sylvan though I’m using a lot of Elemental since it has some very powerful cards.
Favourite card(s) Crypt Doctor - very strong ability that allows for a lot of tricks, effectively cuts losses in half. Astridian Bazaar - limitless possibilities in one card. Thistle Falcon - incredibly strong creature. Training - very powerful ability that allows for a lot of tricks.
Favourite artwork Volcanic Phoenix
Name the seven cards that you would like to see in an ideal draw Dwarven Hall, Ord Stone, Ord Stone, Benefits of Spectacle, Benefits of Spectacle, Twisted Intentions, Twisted Intentions
What developments would you like to see in the future? 1. Tab for accounts that includes accomplishments e.g. a medal for first place in a brass league, one for winning a keep cards, one for collecting 50% of the cards etc. 2. More players. 3. A notification sound for a new chat window or a challenge.
What, if any, are the main problems with TFW? Right now not enough players or valueless awards
Have you invested any real money in TFW so far? Not yet, I made a decent deck with gold I won from minor clashes early on and was able to win a few keep cards drafts. With that deck I was able to place second in the Grand Clash earning me 6000 gold.
What advice(s) would you give to new players? 1. Don’t worry about glory 2. Do everything you can to kill your opponents creatures without losing your own 3. Don’t go charging out blind if the opponent has creatures to use that you can’t see. 4. Play ladder games and join the minor clash any chance you can.

Here are a few other questions for you angelatheist:
(1) Do you have a background in the Collectible Card Game area (online or printed)?
(2) Two things are beyond the player to directly control in TFW: Terrain and the Draw. What is the best way to deal with these 'uncertainty factors' in terms of deck building and in terms of in-game play?
(3) There is an expansion coming up. Not much has been revealed about it so far, but do you have any comments that you would like to add here, say, abou the likely impact on TFW?
Cheers!

Do you have a background in the Collectible Card Game area (online or printed)? Yeah, I played magic the gathering for a few years and used to follow it online. I've also tried just about every free online card game at some point or another.
Two things are beyond the player to directly control in TFW: Terrain and the Draw. What is the best way to deal with these 'uncertainty factors' in terms of deck building and in terms of in-game play? Building your deck so that it is consistent is one of the most important factors. Ideally you should make your deck so every possible starting hand is good but obvious that's unrealistic so you should try to make it as likely as you can. Also for constructed play 40 cards, no excuses. As for terrain, its important to play creatures with hover, stride, aloft or just high movement so that you don't get stuck in bad terrain situation. Mountain Folk have the biggest problems with movement so they are effected the most by bad terrain.
There is an expansion coming up. Not much has been revealed about it so far, but do you have any comments that you would like to add here, say, abou the likely impact on TFW? I'm in the beta so i've already seen the new set; though unfortunately i haven't looked at it recently. Its definitely going to be interesting when its released and there will be plenty new strategies to discover and abuse.
