Righto, XP....
Are you running SP1,2 OR 3?
DO NOT INSTALL DIRECT-X 10. UNINSTALL IT IF YOU HAVE.
Install direct x 9 instead.
Disable windows firewall.
If you have msn messenger installed, make sure that windows live one-care or windows live firewall are disabled.
Make sure that any security program such as bitdefender, norton etc are disabled, have exceptions for TFW.
You should only ever have 1 firewall working at any one time, as more than 1 can cause problems like this.

I don't think it is a directX problem since he gets the login screen. The crash reporting that tells us where the bug is isn't working in the game right now. It should be working again on monday. So I would just try again when we put up the next patch.

I think we fixed your bug. just run the game again and it will update to a working version.

I just found this game today, and installed it. When running it, like the poster above, it updates and brings up the login panel. Then when I log in, I get the same error message (runtime error).
I'm in XP, sp3 I believe (or sp2 with all updates since). I have AVG firewall running, but already gave the game an okay to pass through.

Hmm we will have to look into it. In the meantime try the flash version. It is available on the download page.

Well... I was playing all night last night, and this morning when I tried to get back on I found that I cannot connect. Is the server down? Can anyone else connect? I tried the flash version too... but to no avail.
