Yesterday I played some Zwar gokkens. There are new sets inside, it is very interesting.
I don't know whether is the new autodraw rule implemented there, but I found a hidden problem in the proposed mechanism.
My opponent controlled 2 flux wells and I only 1. The middle flux well was "under siege" by my creatures. My opponent was on 12 glory and turned his strategy into bunker: he didn't cast anything but new domain buildings next to the flux well. I destroyed like 3-4 buildings in last 4 turns, but it wasn't enough> he got always the flux from salvage to recast the new building that he got with autodraw.
It was totally worthless effort to try killing the buildings. If it is added a new domain building when he runs out of domains, he will be laughing and recast it turn to turn.

My proposal is> make a new building called: Home, that will be drawn with autodraw when a player runs out of domain cards, with the following stats:
Building base.
When Home comes into play, choose a domain. Home gives the choosen domain to its controller.
Cost: 5, Salvage.
Health: 3-4
VISION: 0. !!!!!!!!!!!

That will allow the player to fight and play his cards even if all his domains are destroyed, but will give benefit for the player destroying all the domains. And IMHO the domain destruction strategy must survive the nerfing wave.

When I take a deeper look at the card, it looks that it could be a fine domain acceleration in EVERY deck! (Sylvan got finally a domain acceleration! ;) ) Make this card and add to Borderlands if not too late.
With this card around, we don't need to nerf Hadarck's Throne. :D

Regarding your problem, a few questions arise:

1) Why didn't you expand or cast construction sites?

2) Why didn't you go for his / her corner well buildings instead?

3) Couldn't you have placed some creatures, construction sites and such things in some spaces surrounding the center well to prevent him casting a 1-vision building there that sees the well?

If you can give an explanation why each of these things was not possible, and if you really have a good reason to believe you should have been winning or at least keeping the score even, THEN there is a big problem.

But nice suggestion that "Home". Very nice, I wouldn't mind seeing it at all, although I'm not convinced yet the problem you described really is a problem. However, how about making it cost 6 instead of 5 and have base too? In that case, 4 or even 5 health should be the right amount.

The terrain was terrible in that game, but that is a story for itself. I am not a good player, so I lost and I will lose in the future too. :)

The question is simple> do we want to allow players access for an unlimited basic domain buildings with autodraw or not? If yes, we should be prepared for an abuse in one or other way. The Home I proposed will stop one kind of abusing: giving no control is a hard blow if you want to repeatedly recast buildings to hold a flux well with it.

Home I proposed has base.
The cost and health adjustment is a developers' job, not mine. We have just to decide for which purposes we want to use the building. :) For sure, if the Home will be implemented, the Astridian Forum lock will be even more deadly then it is now. :) Again, we come to the simple solution: make an "Autodraw ON/OFF" button.

Again, you will not gain any support until you can answer the questions asked. Strategy needs to be adjusted. Even without the new rule, it is seldom effective to try and control a location with creatures alone, learn to use buildings yourself to secure the area and you will find it not as big an issue. This sounds more a situation of improper use of flux on your side compared to an issue with the autodraw. I admit I have often fell victim to this issue myself.

I can answer some of these...

1) Why didn't you expand or cast construction sites?

Helps if its 2 wells to 1 well as then you can expand without needing to push him off one. If it's 3 to 2 expansion doesn't help that much. Construction sites take 4 turns to complete as well, so the score can go from 14 to 20 before they matter....12 to 20 if a single creature can get a hit in.

2) Why didn't you go for his / her corner well buildings instead?

You have to move to the corner then deal with the same issue there. Sometimes it can help as the corner building is out of salvage mode though. I think the issue is partly with Salvage essentially making replacement buildings free. Should the guy holding even by casting a domain building each round or the guy taking out a 7 flux building every turn be winning the game?

3) Couldn't you have placed some creatures, construction sites and such things in some spaces surrounding the center well to prevent him casting a 1-vision building there that sees the well?

You can. If a construction site completes you stop the spam. If you have enough stuff to completely swamp the area, you'll probably win even with the spam, but that's usually a lot more stuff than it takes to do 5 damage a round.
