I just played a match, cast Death Mark on a Carrion Feeder (3 corpses in sight, all went accordingly). The turn after the next, I used the Feeder's special and the Death Mark enchantment went away. So I ended up at +1 attack, +2 hp instead of +4/+5. Needless to say, this was not the intended consequence.
