Were you not around for the MF/Ele storm of '09? I see the lobby room as the leftover wreckage.

I think in this particular case the best counter to a MF/Ele deck was a MF/Ele deck itself creating a terrible terrible downward spiral.

I think the downward spiral was caused by people who tried other decks, getting beaten by MF/Ele and then not impoving their decks or getting more experience with them and just joining the MF/Ele crowd instead. I think the solutions are out there but people haven't found them yet.

Whenever we consider nerfing anything, I do think it's worthwhile to consider if the current style of play that is in question is a "fad" that everyone is playing because they "think" it's best, or if there is ACTUALLY a problem. At times distinctions can be difficult, but it's a worthwhile consideration.

It's still the most played deck right now. That's not to say there aren't other ways around mahal/fort spam but it's a pretty simple way to battle it.

I've done well enough with a stompy ranged-attack sylvan deck against MF/E decks. In fact, I built it to intentionally spite MF/E builder decks. I don't think there are many deck types that do not have a decent counter.

Ok here is the updated list of things we are going to change with the seed set when Borderlands is released: Nerf: * Throne: 4M * Fissure: cost 4 glory * Caravan: can't be the target of spells or abilities +1 speed * Nether plasma: only gets tokens when you cast it from your hand. * Negate: 2M * Ord beast: Can't spawn in controlled spaces (this is actually just a bug fix) * Ord stone: 2hp * Volcano: 3 damage to target space. 2 to the surrounding * Glided Organ: only spells
Maybe: * Training: +1 attack +2 Hp
Buf: & Bell of Dorn: 3X & Wider Woods: 2SXX & Force Fence: 2MX & Decomposition: 1S & Lord of chaos: Soul Token situation made more clear. But it does result in a slight buf: Lose a soul token at end of the round if there are no soul tokens to remove Lord of Chaos is removed.

Although I support the need to nerf fissure, I dont support it becomming useless. What about a one or two glory cost? It would still be dificult to play.
Really like the nerfing of Ord Stone. It might still be the best card in the game, but this help aloth. And please nerf Training!

The nerfs seem good to me, except maybe the change to fissure, it's really huge. I agree with Cave that it would probably become too weak to be useful at all. Nerfing Volcano is another much needed change I think.
About buffs: How about buffing Restore Nature's Balance? As it is now, Mystic Feedback will be preferred over it 100% of times. Both are uncommons, so to me it would sound reasonable for the aligned one to actually have a slight advantage. Restore's only appeal has been that it's the only enchantment removal for sylvan. 2 or 3 flux? Playing sylvans without enchantments is hard anyway.
