Galath-Baen, the city of the ancients. Once it stood as a testament to a great civilization, now is little more than rubble. The war for this ancient site has lasted centuries and its secrets remain a mystery.

Search for Galath is a mini set, it has several cards from each faction, I am intending it to be only sold as boosters, as it is not a faction in and of itself. I am curious to see if this would work. Anyway, just ideas unless the dev team wants to use them :)

It uses 'Equipment Cards, they work similar to Enchantments. I had always thought Humans would be good with Equipment, like it was their specialty, but this is not my game, just my interpretations.


Please note that the art Im loading is low quality jpgs, I have clean pngs of things at higher resfor use in game.

Still have a few more to go, but this should illustrate where Im going.
The idea would be to buy a booster from Galeth, and you would get cards from this set, this will prevent diluting the existing cards.

I kind of like the idea of having a mini-set based on a specific "campaign" as it were. Haven't had a chance to read the actual cards.

thanks, I am thinking if they are done, they could go right below "Purchase Pack" and just say "Search for Galath"

I added Ye Olde Tavern, the only unaligned base their is. I think a generic base is a good thing, and a generic inn seemed fitting. it is a powerful idea, so I didnt give it any abilities, it also provides no domain or anything, it is just a generic base, so people can play a full Neutral deck of some kind.

If you still are, then do it. All of the ideas are pretty cool.

I only have one question, would equipment become a new category like artifacts in MTG? Or would it be like enchantments.

Edit: the reason i'm asking this is because i'm wondering what kind of effort people are willing to put into a new card category.

I would be happy to finish this. However, I want some clear contact and understanding with the devs before I go much further. There was some bad blood in the past, I was pretty unhappy with some policies they had set, and chose to travel elsewhere. I have seen a lot worse in the game industry since, in both larger and smaller companies. I would love to contribute to the Far Wilds, but after running into some problems doing something like this before, I want to set some clear understanding with the devs upfront. After seeing what else is out there, I have to say my opinion of tFW has changed, they are actually a lot better than some of the other guys. I can admit, I was a bit hasty, and I should have been more understanding.

I like a lot of what I see in looking over the far wilds again, some interesting new modes of play.
I see a lot of potential for Galeth-Baen, and I would love to see it made real. If I can get a decent dialogue with the devs, some clear communication, a bit of guidance in what they want, I would be happy to develop some art for this, and possibly other things in the future.
So, Jed, other devs, community, let me know if you want me to continue, and on what terms towards what end.

welcome back lord_midnight. I think the best thing and most helpful would be to make a campaign with the new scripting system. It would be nice to have one that is much more story driven. Check the scripting forum for more info about how to do this.

w00t! WB knight. Jed, we like the scripts, but this is the card ideas forum, where we ponder cards :D . So we should actually be pondering how weapons should be added.
