Curse of bell witch and dagkarnonean fort or obelisk, even earthworks.

You know just cast it on a creature when they summon it at their base. Flux or domain is never a problem, actually theres too much of it yikes. It does have issues with vapormahal as base but hey...

Negate, lyssis, fissure, sinkhole whatever looks like a threat.

Often this can be done while the opponent is chasing your prospectors in the opposite corner of the map.

Insert whatever other nasty cards you have, im stuck with those.

Current version actually has a quite fun early guerrilla warfare with craig scouts and hellcats, but i do that just cause thats the style of play i prefer.

Ive had a few variations of undeaddorfs (moving forts etc.) and theyre really not balanced, what with this games utter dependance on buildings and cratures. +ridiculous versatility (yet best cards for the job) of the domains.

Anyway just wanted to inject some variation into the same old boring domains, but sadly it STILL does their whole stupid setup.

Makes a man wish for a good old fashion sylvan rush chess match.

I definitely likes this WAY more than sylvan rush which is only annoying and you can get it for 50g, all the cards. Considering single Legs of Baba Yaga you mentioned cost over 100g .. well, everyone knows what I think of sylvan :D (@Uber: should I be given the choice to play symbiote or sylvan I wouldn't hesitate, not a second.)

You're right there's few strategies which now dominate the play, but isn't it fun, making up counter decks? Of course except CaveTroll and his unbeatable deck which I just don't know how to counter. Only card I can think of is Acmar's Stabilizer. Probably going to make a deck with that one just to see Victory! written over some my game against Cave :D
Curse of bell witch is really good btw and it's mainly because of small players base, that noone has come up with a good deck based on it yet, even though I could mention emancipate and his commons-only decks, from which I think one uses it.
Think I've already crossed to the other thread you made, but hopefully it doesn't matter. :)

I play Sylvan partly because it can be semi-competitive for a low cost. That said, a really strong Sylvan rush requires things like Hermits, Spires, Gossamer Palaces, and/or Pine Ents, each of which is going to be well over 100g (and most of which I don't have).

I find Hadark's Fort/Vapor Mahal rush the most annoying style of deck I have played against in this game. It seems too good to me that for 1 more flux than a Bamboo Hut the Fort gets 5 more health and the ability to fight back.

Curse of the Bell Witch has potential to be useful, but is tough to fit into a tight DL deck.

I mean seriously is there anyone who fears sylvan rush now? Does anyone play it anymore even?
Single biggest boost such decks got was dispell flux, but theres so many cards that singlehandedly stop weenies that they only work when the metagame gets lax about them.

Id be much more scared of bloodlings, cats, red imps, doc and dank pit for a overwhelming rush deck than a bunch of 1/1's. And if you wanna do a proper rush use IC, 0cost creatures lol.

But yeah 85% of my games are against Themist, so... yeah.... well at least i win every 3rd or 4th game but i wish he'd mix it up sometimes. You hear that Themist? I know youre reading! :) Though it amazes me that he can still squeeze more ooomph/new improved tactic with it every so often.

btw since you guys mentioned no ideas for bellwitch:
Also an older deck ive used about 2 weeks ago with bellwitch was a seat of essenes / reroute deck, mostly for 2v2 play.

The answer to you second question is a definite yes. I use pure Sylvan decks in most EC's I play these days. One of those decks is "extreme" rush as you describe it - only 1 domain, many weenies, Dispel Flux, and some other ways of disrupting the opponent's defense. The other is a 2-domain deck with Beacons, Geese Tamers, Teleports, and the rest of the usual suspects. Another top-20 player, coreycorey2000, plays a similar deck (Rufio too, I think, but I haven't played him in a while). When I played sexygamer in an EC some 2 weeks ago, he complained of facing 4 Sylvan decks in a row, so apparently some other people are using them as well.

As for your first question, I can't make any claims about other players' sense of dread. What I can say is that I've had a lot of success with both decks - they're more consistent than other decks I've tried. Admittedly, I've never tried DL.

Goblin bomb squad and misunderstood orders and rebellious serfs. I call it the DL killer. You should lose the symbiotes and add bomb squads and if you have bomb squads already add misunderstood orders and if your collection dosnt have misunderstood orders add tentacles of lycarthon so you can trap caves stupid feeders and tortured ghosts with it after getting you bomb squads into demolition position.

@Yaron: hmm i guess our definitions of "rush decks" varies. To me it is those early game advantage decks that largely count on some sort of early lockdown mode (lotsa creatures circling base, sometimes accompanied by a cheap building on a remote well. Sometimes referred to as pressure decks. Variations also include forcefence/negate/training/flashpowder/sinkhole to keep the opponent stuck in his corner...and so on for each domain. They tend to lose horribly if the opponent can survive for 6-7 turns. Though rarely, these can even go to be 3 domains as backup when that happens (ie. for greening etc.)

This other deck you describe (i often play it as well as i like cat-and-mouse i guess lol) is more of a hit-and-run guerrilla style with using terrain against the opponent, falling back to heal creatures or avoid counterattacks, flanking like mad etc. Very different. Though sylvan is kinda stuck into sameoldsameold type of play no matter what deck you make with it :(
