After the two current leagues "Release and Silver" finish we are going to make a few changes to the way that Leagues work.
- The prize pool is going to be more spread out so not just the top few finishers get prizes. - Change the number of games you can play against each player to 2 a week. - Change the number of games you can play for points to 10 a week. - Limit the number of tiebreaker games you can play to 5 a week. (We'd like you to be able to play unlimited games against the people you are tied in points with but that will come later)
All these things should reduce the effects of a couple players sharking the leagues and keeping everyone else down.
We also are going to introduce a new type of league. You will be able to choose a domain and then get 3 random packs form that domain with which to build your army. This will hopefully appeal to people who think their league decks are too limited.
Let us know what you think.

I'm not sure that it will be necessary with this new rules, but what do you think about not letting top players play with outsiders. In first week it useless, but then you can not let play with player if you have difference higher than some value (about 15 points). I agree with each change which you want to bring

People with 0 games left should only be able to play people with 0 games left. If person A with games left loses to person B with 0 left, A will only get 1 point to B's no change in however many points they have from their previous games. I don't think that's fair to the lower people.
Other than that looks like good change.

So, that's at least 10 hours a week to play in a league, more if you need to play tiebreakers. Bring it down more so that casual players (which leagues should appeal to) can play.

It really shouldn't take that long to play games? I think my average game lasts about 20 min. But I can make one that has a longer interval so you can have like 2 weeks to play your 10 games. Just tell me what kind of league you want set up since we can tweak most of the parameters.

Sounds great, really like the domain type idea.

Bah on the Domain picking idea, it'll lose me a lot of EV since I won't be able to play against people who have wildly misbuilt their decks with several different domains.

I would reduce the number of characters per message in the lobby areas. I came back from a release game to find several hundred "y's" in my box, accidentally posted them, and felt like a doosh. :-p

I think both changes are PERFECT!!!! I cannot even get around to playing 15 games a week reasonably, and if i could i would like to be able to be in more then one id say (i work long days with my commute time) and the domain choice is nice, a controlled element draft, its unique hopefully it works, i dont think we'd run into a rock paper siscors issue with this game so it should be fun.

Hey -- mostly I think the changes are good... esp. the wider distribution of winnings. But -- I would actually restrict it to playing each other person once a week, otherwise it seems like there might be a possibility "play" the system by only playing games when certain other people are online (or not online)
That said, I'm also having a problem right now where NOBODY else is playing... I've had a couple of days where I've been trying to play a game, but everybody else has given up. (And, unfortunately, I can't stay logged in 24 hours a day!) -- not sure what to do about it, but I think the wider distribution of winnings might help (encourage more people to play).
