In case you weren't aware, you can zoom way in on the game models in the 3D client, and they're actually quite detailed. I took this screen shot for Keyser (b/c he asked) since he's on a mac and can't... ohhh macs... tee hee...

And the zoom in does have some useful applications... I often zoom in quite a ways to guarantee that I don't miss-click if it's a serious game...

I think the graphics engine needs a complete rehaul away from 3d and back into good ol' cartoony-ish 2d. Who plays zoomed in? The whole interface could use a retooling too.

I think its ok, how it is.
At 1st, I zoomed in, and moved left and right, wondering if its a fully 3d, or just a 2d image.
Imo, it works for now, so its all good.

But maybe the devs can consider an option to thicken the borders, as to increase the visibility of the borders and thus individual hexes. More serious players may want to on this for faster clarity of hexes and stuff.

@Sunyaku
sounds troublesome... But then ive clicked wrongly b4...

Can you explain it a bit - I don't understand what borders are you talking about.

I believe that what he means is in the browser the hexes are marked with black lines, whereas the 3d client the hexes sort of blend into each other. I think he's asking for some black lines to demarcate different hexes. I think that's a good idea if that's what he's saying.

I mean thicker lines.

Image

Like say, i press leftAlt, or leftShift, it will automatically thicken all the lines.
I'm lazy to open up photoshop, so imagine it this way.
The line is at 100% in the middle, and fades away to each side to 15%.
About the thickness in that image. So by holding a key, the whole map in terms of hex is very clear, and after that, when I release, its all nice again.
