I've noticed that when I click for the EC schedule, it now says

Constructed Tournament with 400 Prize Pool.

instead of

Constructed Tournament with 7 Power in Prize Pool.

Has the reward for Power in the EC been changed to ladder rank instead?

I see the same thing. It just says "400". It doesn't say 400 WHAT.... Perhaps this is a bug in the web client?

It says the same thing in the client. I assumed it meant the EC would now award 400 acorns instead of 7 power. That would mean something to me if I knew what acorns were.
Jed seems to have some partially implemented changes coming that are not yet announced.

Yea, assuming it's 200/10/50 I have now 700 of something ...
would rather prefer power so I wouldn't have to buy the rest up to 50 .. =(
hopefully jed finishes it soon.

You can see your acorns at the top right of your screen, between your gold and your ladder points.

But no, I don't know what they do.

Not in the web client.
And the downloaded client doesn't work on Mac's.

I have NO idea how many acorns I have!

I believe the following is in order::

The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy wrote:
In fact there are three freely convertible currencies in the Galaxy, but none of them count. The Altairian Dollar has recently collapsed, the Flanian Pobble bead is only exchangeable for other Flanian Pobble Beads, and the Triganic Pu has its own very special problems. Its exchange rate of eight Ningis to one Pu is simple enough, but since a Ningi is a rubber coin six thousand eight hundred miles along each side, no one has ever collected enough to own one Pu. Ningis are not negotiable currency, because the Galactibanks refuse to deal in fiddling small change. From this basic premise it is very simple to prove that the Galactibanks are also the product of a deranged imagination.

I have a huge sinking feeling about power's value from now on....

Seriously, I don't know how many acorns I have either. Also, Power seems to be the "Altairian Dollar" of TFW now.

Keyser has recently started another thread about acorns, check it out too.
