Will you stop? It's understandable that Acorns/Kingdom were a failiure, but rubbing it in people's faces... that's just s***. I'm sorry, but this has just gone too far.

What's next, the great Acornian Revoulution? Or why don't we be sensible and actually talk about how we can improve TFW?

Preach it, brother! Preach it!

Argh, I am being an idiot again aren't I? Apologies. >.> Anyway, all jokes and preaching aside, I'd say acorns are actually beginning to discourage the player base a bit. See the first post for solid evidence.
Wii need a better player magnet!

Today marks the first time ever that I'm expectant of the ladder rewards. Since it no longer makes sense to get gold, phantoms are the only way to change my decks.

Too bad, this also marks the end of the first ladder I tried not to participate in.

I guess there's the incentive for playing more games, you can get phantoms!!! Much better than buying golds, right now.

I wasn't saying that you were being an idiot at all.

Whoops, then I misinterpreted your message. Again, my bad keyser.

@Ata and Whoever else still reads these forums nowadays:
The solution to this problem is simple. Put Power back in the EC. Have the ladder give out gold again. Basically, free currency was a big help to getting players, so why ditch the idea now?

And how many times do I need to say return power?

I'm not going to ask for Power to return because I seriously doubt that it ever will. What I'd like is for Acorns to have some value other than that of accumulating even more Acorns.

With alt accounts able to be used like they are right now, the ladder was mercilessly abused when gold was given out. That's why ladder changed to phantoms.
Get several alts, intentionally lose to yourself, get lots&lots of ladder points to get gold. The abusers did need to rotate between the winning account because winning inflates the rating and moves the account out of sim range of the other alts.
Until TFW is able to prevent abuse of alt accounts, any prizes that can be used as real money will be rather weak.
