How much gold will the prize be? And will the time change each day to accomodate diff time zones and the like?

50g.
Ok I'll alternate one at 4pm CST and one at 12am CST. Those are the busiest times.

Sounds good. I might be able to make the 12 am ones.

Personally, I'd prefer a 10g prize pool for tournaments that happen 5 times a day...

Sure, right now you're putting them during peak hours, but those are hours when the current player pool is active, which is not particularly good. Those are also the hours when some of the best players are active, meaning; the newer players don't stand a chance of winning and the game as a whole won't benefit as much from them.

A smaller prize pool will keep some of the wealthier players uninterested but will definitely attract newer and non-paying players.

This is great, but i agree with Atahulpa. One can also consider every 11th or 13th hour.

THANK YOU JED. Also, I'll third(fourth...) about making it 10 gold and less often. Even if this was 10 gold every 7 hours (so less than 40 a day) I think that would help to keep people in the lobby and testing new decks.
