I have a bugs list up, so try checking the stuff out there too. Also if you find any bugs, add them to the list by posting. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2155

So I think I finally got a feeling for the kingdoms. I dont really like it. I feel that the kingdom you are raiding (if time was put into it) will be wayyyyyy to far ahead for you to pose a real threat. This also did away with power which i belive was the only way a player can get into the game more without spending money. Im just not sure of the whole concept, the kingdoms can just be too strong.

on the other hand, AI plays for you in defence, so even those most evil defensive plans can go into vain because of AI...

Yeah, sometimes it won't trigger abilities, other times it just doesn't play cards from the hand. Sucks, right? royalfishness wrote: So I think I finally got a feeling for the kingdoms. I wholy agree with this. If you want proof, play grug, nayen, or altren's kingdoms, you are trying to actually beat an impenetrable fortress. Also, getting rid of power really puts a hole in in the whole "This game is free as long as you have the skills" thing. My first suggestion is to make the kingdoms a lot bigger but have only 1 well on the defender's side so that you can still expand, but at least you have some room. My second suggestion is to bring Power back to the EC or the Ladder. Either one will do.

Mmmmm... Power in the ladder, that should get the game moving again...

wow power in the ladder would be amazing. losing power will lose alot of people, people who will eventually spend money.

Immediate effect of kingdoms: No more people on anyone, in the last two days, I've scored two anyone games, one against a 0 wins account who immediately disconnected.
Sure, there's more people showing up for EC's but, hey... they only play the EC's then leave, then come back five hours later.
People just come online to do EC's or to try out kingdoms... nothing else.
Right now, the game is a zombie... walking dead. I, for one, don't even like the kingdoms at all and not because of the bugs.
Giving power in ladders will breathe a lot of life back into the game since people will be doing sim/anyone a lot more.

Atahualpa wrote: Immediate effect of kingdoms: No more people on anyone Yup, noticed that too Hopefully it's bc people are playing around with Kingdoms for novelty. In the long run Kingdoms will either become interesting or a time-killer while waiting for a real game, I suppose. Like playing the AI. The basic premise is probably sound: Kingdoms could be a more PvP-like alternative to normal AI play, which could be a good way to address the problem with few TFW players. I also agree that Power from EC did play an important roll that needs to be filled. It was motivating: something like the basic reason why you want to build strong decks.

How true... for the past 2-3 days, I've felt that every single $ I've spent on this game has been a total waste...
