First you casting flash flood with turned off Stabilizer, so everything becomes water. Then you enable Stabilizer and flash flood becomes disabled, i.e. it not getting age counters. No age counters, no flash removing.

Sure, it's not getting age counters, but it's also not flooding the world....

As soon as you dim the stabalizer to put flood back into play... it gets an age counter at end of turn and lifespan removal kicks in

With the current wording, Flood doesn't need to exist (or be active) in order for the world to be flooded (if it did, we wouldn't have the problem with Loxlorn Globe to begin with). The enchantment floods the world permanently when it is cast, then permanently unfloods it when it is removed. If you turn Acmar's Stabilizer on with Flood in play, then Flash Flood isn't removed, and the world remains flooded.

Jed said he's going to change the wording, but I'm not sure what the new wording is going to be.

My dear Yaron, it seems you have spoken without testing. When you activate Stabilizer, the world becomes un-flooded.

Thanks, that's definitely interesting. For one, it means Flash Flood isn't coded the way I thought it was.

However, I am less interested in what actually happens under the current implementation (which has been confirmed to be buggy, and will probably be changed), and more interested in what logically follows from the way Flash Flood is worded.

According to the current wording, both combos (Globe and Stabilizer) *should* work, because none of these effects technically "remove" the Flood.

Now, Jed has stated that the design intention was that such combos (or at least, the Globe combo) should not work. However, it is not easy to find a wording that is congruent with this intention (and does not break in other ways).
