I had attrition in play. I had an earthworks. Opponents creature was 3 spaces away from earthworks and dimmed. I put a constable next to the earthworks.

This means that, at end of turn, my area should have expanded (which it did), bringing my opponent's creature into my territory, dealing it one damage with attrition.

However, it didn't.

Apparently, it checked for area for attrition first, and then expanded area with the constable.

How do we know what order things that say "at end of turn" happen in?

First card played (entity created) is the first thing to happen.
So if attrition was casted earlier than Constable it will trigger earlier
