as with all software there's a big difference in the way it's "supposed" to work and the way it "does" work. You asked specifically the way it's "supposed" to work.

This could be tested easily in a sandbox.
Put an Elven Scout into play. Put a completed Emerald Spring into play next to the Scout. Put a Tenderfoot Archer into play next to the Spring. Deal one damage to both creatures. Tremor the Spring twice.
So Altren, should both creatures die, neither creature die, or only one of them die? And what does happen currently?
I suspect that currently the after end of round action takes place with the Scout resolving first. The scout finds itself next to a Spring that heals it, and it lives. The Spring resolves next and is destroyed. The Archer resolves next, and since the Spring is gone, it dies.
I think what should be happening is the Spring should be healing everything during the end of round action, healing everything adjacent to it and then after end of round figure resolution should take place.
So would that mean that a dying Putrid Zombie (-2 health) next to a healthy Scout, Archer, and a dying Spring (or a Spring with two health) should clear the board if the Spring came into play before the Zombie, and leave the two elves if it came into play after the Zombie?
I think I've seen both instances with the Spring too.

Both creatures should stay alive (as I told twice previously) and currently they stay alive. Let's say that it was some mystic bug that was fixed and you'll stop asking same question again and again .
I already told that destroying happens after all end of round actions.
About zombie - yes all creatures will die because Zombie dies after all end of round actions (including Spring healing).

I'm going to have to start screen shotting all instances when creatures are next to a dying Emerald Spring.... just so you'll believe me!
