I think that's this cards should be autodraw. I mean, who could play this cards otherwise? Who could possibly think to get a random domain to draw? Even then, I couldn't not play it because I will autodraw a basic domain building if I don't have enough domain. It could maybe cost 4 to balance for sure, otherwise it would be too powerfull. But in the case it is actually, I don't see how somebody could play with efficiency.
Jed told me that if you autodraw it and you don't have the 5 forest, you pretty much screwed up. Well I'm screw up when I automaticly autodraw a basic domain and don't have the flux to play it, and I autodraw them as well. Plus, there is a lot of cards that changes the terrain of spaces (especially sylviculture in Borderland release), and when you're playing this card (Treetop dominion), it is because you know you're going to control this 5 forests.

But treetop dominion can be cast even when you don't control enough forests, it just doesn't give domain, right? I don't think spending 2 flux for probably getting a 3rd domain later is getting screwed up. With current autodraw system and the possibly (hopefully not?) implemented "play defaults whenever" system it should work perfectly well to have 1 or 2 autodrawing treetop dominions in deck. I'm not sure about the old system, a lot of cycling might be needed there, but still it would be better than the current version of the card that doesn't autodraw. Cost could be raised to 3, but no more is needed in my opinion because of the trouble taken to create forests.

I think there are a few cards that autodraw that can potentially screw you. I've been screwed by Quorom Stone plenty of times in domain league. Treetop seems about as likely to screw ppl.

After a game where i had 3/4 of the map under control (NOT EXAGGERATING) (3 ivory spires), and NO 6 forests (crazy map sure, but cmon...) this card doesnt exist for me. However that was long before sylviculture or kudzus. Also..... suddenly Geomantic Illusionist (omg forested mountains, 3domain cards worth using, ) There just might lie a sleeping tiger in the treetop. Of to the lab! Ps. Autodraw could screw you just as easily if thar be no forrrests or ways of making them in hand. And by "just as easily" i mean real bad.

I pulled Treetop dominion out of my domain league army last domain league when Grove, Siiculture, Treetop dominion wasn't enough trees due to water spaces.
With a Tree it's more likley to give domain, but starting without base is generally tough. Almost guaranteed for 3rd domain with an Ivory Spire, but Astridian Diplomat is better for that, even in a single faction army.

You still need to either get lucky and have forests to work with or create them yourself with Siviculture...which leaves you in a situation of needing to draw 3 non-autodraw cards and still needing Sylvan domain already to start the process.

I have a great combo with tree top, scorched horizons, interference, or astridian forum.
