In this new set, there're even more alternative glory gaining cards. Not to mention that there's also a card that defy the most seemingly basic rule of the far wilds - Aurora Borealis - which prevent glory gain from controlling most flux wells.
If strong alternative glory decks meet each other, the game will end pretty quick and winner is decided by who draw the glory card faster. THIS ISN'T WHAT WE WANT.
shouldn't we have more glory reducing cards then? any thought?

Yea there are plenty of new powerful glory cards. What's worse, some of those cards even prevent gaining glory by controlling more wells, and some cards even prevent the flux gain! As if that wasn't enough, There are cards like Mana Dome that make fortifying to your own corner with your glory gaining cards by far the best "strategy" (if there's any real strategy involved in that). The problem people don't seem to see with the Dome is that although it's just fine as a counter to fissures and the rest in traditional decks that try to grab wells to win, it's completely broken in decks that gather at least 3 glory per round on average without leaving their starting corner ever.
The tutorial should be changed. It still implies the game's goal is to control more flux wells than the opponent to win. It's already a bit outdated even now as the dominant strategy is to rather take the opponent to zero wells rather than get more than one yourself. Sure people sometimes still grab a second well, but that's more for the flux than glory usually. I used to have problems with this too, but I've since come to accept the fact and I use the "keep at one or 2 wells, get opponent to 0" strategy myself too. But with the new set it's all down to who gets luckier with their glory combos. I can foresee matches where neither player ever interacts with the other.
If it was up to me, I would REMOVE all glory gaining cards or at least reduce alternative glory gain to a maximum of 2 per turn. That way trying to control more wells would still have a chance. But I know there's no chance in hell this will ever be the case. And that's fine, the developers are perfectly free to take the game to whateevr direction they see fit. But it doesn't work for me. And I know this rant was pretty pointless, as not many people seem to have the same views. So better just quit, which I am doing.
EDIT: I know this thread should be about glory reducing cards. I just don't think they are a good solution at all.

Earthquake rips apart decks that like to build a bunch of buildings and sit in the corner using them to gain glory. Mana Dome doesn't stop it. There are a couple cards I think are undercosted (I'm looking at you Hunting Grounds and Aurora Borealis), but for the most part I think all these cards are too fragile to really threaten top decks on a regular basis.

Have you ever tried playing TheFlashPoint's deck? I built an earthquake deck specifically targeted against it, and it failed miserably. Earthquake doesn't do much against a deck with over 26 buildings in it.

What glory gaining card does his deck use to gain glory? How many domain giving cards does he have? I'd attack one of those rather than directly trying to take out every single building. More generally, if he thinks he has found a broken deck he should post the decklist so people can analyze it.

kash: Keyser was probably talking about constructed. For the beta, it would be helpful if Practice, Uraxor and CaveTroll posted their decks, so people could try them out and see for themselves. But I doubt it as theres now a new beta with a prize pool again and no one wants to share their winning secrets.

For constructed, it might well be the case that Earthquake doesn't work; Faceless Lord is a huge boost to the viability of Earthquake. I don't think the lack of posted decks is a sign of people wanting to protect their valuable secrets; none of the players you mentioned won much more than the entrance fee. I'd suspect rather that they decided their decks weren't particularly broken and/or just made comments on individual cards. I don't know what Practice and CaveTroll ran, but Uraxor was one of the two MF decks that beat me (I also beat him). It was basically abusing Astridian Geographic Society with the old standard MF building destruction plus the new Caprakin Warlock. Apart from my feelings about AGS, I don't think that deck is too strong in any new ways.

Kash: I was saying that Earthquake isn't the answer to building decks, as some of them run so many buildings that Earthquake is more like a mosquito bite annoyance than a game changer.

That may well be true, my point was that complaints about decks that hide in the corner using Mana Dome and alternative glory gainers are vulnerable to it, not all building decks. I will say that the Imperium building decks I've seen in the beta have all been vulnerable to Earthquake though.
