With the next patch we are going to see how it is with the basic Domain buildings auto drawn if you don't have any domain cards left in your deck. This is just a test to see if things work better that way. This should make domain denial a bit more difficult hopefully putting more emphasis on board position.

Great idea to test this in the beta! No way to know how it works without trying it out.
I can't imagine this causing any problems. Since this mechanics only starts functioning when you are out of all domain cards, not just basic buildings, it doesn't allow people to for example play with only 1 grove, 3 great oaks and 3 diplomats as they would be left without bases until all their oaks get destroyed if they lost the grove.

That would benefit some of my decks that only use the basic domain buildings...
But hey wait! How would you know which domain I need for auto-draw? Looking at the cards on my hand? And what if all in my hand are neutral domain but it's not like that in the remaining deck?
Great idea Jed. However, discuss it a bit more in details would you?

Billiska: yeah it looks in your hand. If all X domain then it wont fetch one for you.
CaveTroll: yeah you could do this.

&Cave; but if we'd go this way the only domains we would have a chance to play would be only basic like Grove, Chamber etc. ? You couldn't even use Altar of IX f.e., if I am not mistaken? But Astridian Diplomat could be there..
What about decks using more domains? How to decide which I will get first on hand..? +I would have only that one as long as would be there.. because next one wouldn't autodraw ..?

Zurken: I'd assume that it handles it just like it handles it now: if you have more than one domain in hand, it draws a random one of those in your hand.
I think this is great and hope it'll fix a fundamental issue. there's still a big advantage to using domain cards in your deck so I don't think it'll change deckbuilding much; this just prevents domain denial from being autowin.

I like this idea quite a bit. I don't want to echo doiron too much, but domain denial really needs to be kept in check. It should be strong, but it shouldn't be the most common way to win.

I'm actually against this idea... as it destroys one strategy for playing the game. Domain denial IS a way to play....
..unless the developers are deciding that they don't want domain denial to be a viable play option?

Or in regular play too?
