I just got destroyed (twice) -- <<Great Deck Uncas!!>> by a deck that used Crush of the Void, Gaze of the Tyrant, Vessel AND Goblin Bomb Squad...

Crush of the Void with Bomb Squad is an amazing destructive combo.

Is this deck really good against other decks too? Or just mine? :-)

My non-White House approved opinion:

I have mostly been running a deck that gives me generous creature removal options AND a twist on terrain denial. Nothing over the top flashy, but synergistic. Plus, every single card is 2 domain or less so I am not sitting around for long with cards I cannot cast.

Crush of the Void is a great card that really changes the pace of the game. Talk about jumping on someone early! If your deck is overly reliant on multiple domain or higher flux you are gonna be swarmed HARD. With the aforementioned deck, I have faced at least 3 CotV attacks. The first time I did not adapt and died. Maybe I was lucky, but I beat a deck very similar to the one you described--I think it was Uncas but not 100% sure. 8-) Anywho, it is a good card and solid strat that totally changes the direction of attack. Dangerous for sure!!

I have not seen it enough to say whether it is OPd at this point. We shall see.

From experience, I can tell you the deck isn't too good. I've lost to several players, including one mysterious gelatin opponent. In a nutshell, the deck is a rush deck that sacrifices late game potential in order to rush with mid-sized creatures instead of little ones. If a deck is able to deal with creatures like Iron Porcupine and Seething Archosaur, then my deck has an uphill battle to fight.

But, yes, Crush of the Void is a great card. When combined with Goblin Bomb Squad and Gaze of the Tyrant, you can make some very versatile and unpredictable plays. It's a blast to play with.

However, I will say that my deck is far from optimal. I've been trying out different cards to get a feel of what they can do. If I were to include Training, Negate, and Fissure the deck would be greatly improved. Would a more optimized deck be unfair? My guess is no, but I have no idea.

Any of the old domains don't seem to lose to chaos in general power -except arguably elementals, but that's a different story for a different thread. The reason why chaos may seem too powerful might be that you compare it to celestials, which is a relatively weak domain in my opinion. They do have many strong single cards, but their role seems to be kind of limited to support, like elementals (it would be nice if elementals were more playable as the main domain of a deck without thrones too). Now that most of the very strong celestial cards have recieved heavy nerfs (which were 100% justified), they seem to me a bit weak with most of the cards being below average in usefulness.
