I strongly support a system that constantly checks for invalid buy/sell offers and REMOVES them.
Whenever a user opens the market to check on the prices of a particular card, the system should check:
1) If a card is for sale for x gold, make sure the user selling that card still has the card. If they don't, then remove the sell offer.
2) If a card has an offer of x gold, make sure that the user offering to buy the card has enough gold to purchase it. If they don't, then remove that buy offer.
3) Repeat until all buy/sell offers are valid.

That might be a good idea, but it doesn't make sense for it to be done individually for each player every time he opens market tab, that'd just mean Market takes AGES to open ..
It could be checked, say, once a day..

It wouldn't take ages as it's not checking every single card every time a player opens the market. It's ONLY checking the once card they have clicked on to see the buy/sell price for.
It assures accurate information and eliminates people trying to influence prices as they have in the past.
