I've never really seen these used in a game:
Repairs
Experience
Grave Summoning
Smoke and Soot
Prevailing Winds

Do they need changing to be useful?

I think Smoke and Soot is quite good in mono MF or MF & DL for example. But if it's too weak, it could become 1 flux and get "draw a card". The others, however are quite bad IMO, I wouldn't use any of them personally.

EDIT: Actually, prevailing winds should have some use. Make it blow towards opponnent's corner, and all their alofts become pretty much useless. Would also be fun to cast it when some aloft is dimmed close to map edge, returning it to hand.

I sometimes use smoke and soot.
but what I can say is really useless is repairs.
It just eat up space and 2 hp isn't enough.

Grave Summoning

Seems like an expensive teleport...

How about

Sacrifice a creature and spawn creature in your hand to that space.
You pay the flux cost of the new creature MINUS the flux cost of the sacrificed creature.

Stronger, but not a free lunch(flux cost is about the same).

I've used Experience as a combat trick, but even then I am unimpressed with it because my creature gets killed the next turn or to another creature. The rest seem meh.

I saw a really creative use of prevailing winds.

My opponent put a planar intersection: air under my base. Then played Prevailing Winds.

Game. Over.

Prevailing winds could also be used in a deck of flying creatures to move your "flock" around the board a LOT faster. And then there's always flying buildings you can push around the board faster as well... or you could surprise your opponent with it and possibly knock one of their fliers off the board.

Me too. They're a paltry shell of their former glory.
