Revenant Bishop + Summonin Circle

I brought a creature into play with Summoning Circle. My opponent then cast Revenant Bishop on the Circle... the creature was removed from game at end of turn.

Shouldn't creature have stayed as the Circle was gone?

I would think that the rules of its summoning would still apply. The circle itself is not destroying the creature.

It shouldn't still apply. Look at what happens when you bring a creature into play with summoning and then move a stag next to the summoning circle. Creature stays in play.
