Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Fiefdom Royale (FR) has come to the unconquered lands of TFW starting now!!

The Genesis Event will begin on 5-22-10 at 1800, Pacific Time Zone. Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 placers, the most creative deck, and a participating noob--if any. I will faciliate the tournament without actually engaging in virtual warfare. Weekly award winners will be tracked, and sporadically posted to the forums, thus creating a prestige factor.

Also, the rules of engagement will be changed from week to week based on my gelatinous whims.

The following are the rules for deck construction for FR 5-22-10:

ALL cards MUST be 0-1 Domain without exception! A minimum of 10 unaligned cards, a minimum of 10 "x" Domain cards, a minimum of 10 "y" Domain cards, and ten or more of any Domain you want. (Again, every card will be either 0 or 1 Domain).

Questions will abound, so shoot away. See you around and especially in 6 days!

Clarification:

Each deck can only contain 40 cards. This rule of engagement has a purpose.


Let us suppose noob decides to run a "sylvan smackdown" deck in Fiefdom Royale: Genesis Event, ok?

10 of his cards MUST be unaligned, and 10 MUST be a domain other than Sylvan or unaligned. That leaves him with a maximum of 20 Sylvan cards in his deck. Never forgetting, of course, that none of the cards in the deck are 2+ Domain. Dem be da roolZ


Another matter of interest. FR will begin with a modest prize for the top 4 players, most creative deck, and noob of the night. They are as follows:

FR Champ--25 gold, 2nd--20 gold, 3rd--15 gold, 4th--10 gold,
Kree8duv--15 gold, Noobster--15 gold

I will verify decks prior to start time at 1800, Pacific Time Zone, on 5-22-10.

ok im lost....heres what i got......

10 unalligned cards.
20 cards from one domain
10 cards from another domain

all cards must be 1 domain cards?

is this all correct if not please speak english while correcting me instead on smellonese. =)

also what is the presmise of winning....creativity or will we actually play these decks against each other....also how many ppl are allowed to be in it ?

All cards MUST be 0 or 1 Domain, basic buildings are 0 Domain.
10 unaligned cards, 10 cards from any one Domain, 10 cards from any Domain other than the prior two, and then 10 more cards of any combination of any other Domain(s).

Example #2:

10 Unaligned, 15 Sylvan, 15 Elemental.

I am basically forcing you to run at least 3 Domains, although one is unaligned.

There must be more questions r/t armies, decks, strats, and such. Keep it coming folks.

Also, I plan to be online to verify decks and whatnot beginning around 1700--on 5-22-10 Pacific Time Zone. Trying to be proactive.

Looking back to see if there were any good DL nerfs. Nope.


I think the strongest combo is:

Iron porcupine (not effected by black plague)
Eastern Halberdier (effected by black plague but not damaged)
Whisk Away
Nether Plasma
Alter of Ix
Black plague

Ci probably has the second or third best one domain spells in the game and DL has great one domain creatures and buildings. Additionaly, there is a lack of creature control and rangers so leprous shambles is going to be a pain and any of the high flux cost one domain creatures we normaly avoid playing are going to be more effective. Even putrid zombie will be able to kill give or take 70% of the creatures being played.

Nether Plasma/alter of ix/carrion feeder is boring and repetitive and is a corner stone for DL decks therefore DL is boring. Nerf boring cards. It's illogical to have these combo's as strong as they are.
