I cannot believe people are complaining!
The man (or gelatinous substance thereof) is generously giving away his hardearned gold... makes an honest mistake and the hounds are all over him!!!
reminds me of that joke....

these old people are staying in the old folks home and complaining...
old man#1 "The food here is horrible! totally unfit for consumption!"
old man#2 "I agree!!! and on top of that, there's not enough of it!"

Quite simple really... some people's time is important. When you screw up a schedule, that time is wasted and lost forever. Some people don't like that. My time is important to me, I think it's the same for all the people that post on the intentional disconnect thread here, at least. GJ wasted some of that time.

I beleive I had a right to be pissed. I came in 28 minutes early for the tournament and was not allowed to participate because "I was late." Furthermore, it hurts my pride to miss one of these immediately after stating that I haven't missed a single one.

Secondly, and I can't beleive I'm actually defending him, but zblader's posts are completely valid. All he's asking for is due notice of when the schedule changes. His time, is obviously important to him, too.

Finally, nobody is complaining about the tournaments. If I were going to complain about the tournament, I'd complain about how the format is always limited. I have not done that. People are "complaining" (I have seen no serious complaints, just dublone's obvious joke, all I've seen is one attack (me) and two requests (zblader)) because of the scheduling.

I think everyone is grateful for these. Some of us are just annoyed by how disorganized they are.

@Cutman

Dude, a few things to say here:

A) First of all, don't confuse the game with real life.
B) I agree with Ata. I ended up in a similar situation like his, so it's pretty understandable. The tournament itself is pretty generous in terms of rewards (because at least 4/6 participants leave with a prize for no gold.), and that's why no one wants to miss them.

@Ata
I may be thinking of something else, but didn't DarkSmello make one his Fiefdoms a sealed?

@Smello
I'm going to expand upon my suggestion a bit and ask that jed puts this up on the event schedule to make it somewhat like an EC maybe event automate the tournament and having you get records of who should win what. That way it still happens so people can get gold later on from you.

Yeah, you're thinking of something else... sealed is a "limited" card format (at least that's the term they use in MtG and most other games I've played). That also includes draft, highlander and other strange formats that are not "constructed," which is the opposite. That's not to say that constructed is not limited in some way as well, since a good number of TCG's have banner/restricted cards in tournament environments.

Also, DJ has done two sealed events.
