damn, just KILL the Bishop.
and when you're not in a position to do it, you probably were losing the game anyway.
DL: Lysis, Possession I think puts it into possession's caster's hand so just cycle it then...
Sylvan: I don't play green folks, so probably teleport it somewhere close to your guys (and that you can't see it is not an argument, he had to see your Wilds first too) or into water
Ele: Sunburst, Lightning Bolt ..
I am sure I don't have to continue ;)

Keyser, in answer to your question about self-respecting CI decks not running Bishop I would say any deck whose owner has not the luck to get them in packs or the resources to drop about 1000g on 3 cards probably won't have them. It IS a rare, after all, and a really good one at that.

I tend to agree with Zurken, but I do support Keyser's general thrust about anti-enchant cards.
Granted, Bishop is powerful and potentially game changing but good rare cards are SUPPOSED to be powerful and game changing. If you can't manage to kill a 1/2 creature that is screwing you... not sure what to say about that, but it probably doesn't bode well for your chances in that game. Sucks, but can't win them all.
On the other hand, Borderlands in general has a lot of anti-enchant cards. You are really taking a chance building a deck that relies heavily on enchantments. I guess that was in response to their power in the seed set, but methinks the pendulum has swung a little to far in the other direction.
Not sure what I am saying as I seem to be contradicting myself. I guess I mean I don't think Bishop is OP, but I do think that, taken as a whole, all the new anti-enchantment cards make enchantments much less playable.

I wrote a fairly long post on this that didn't go through before, so I'll try to just get to the point: BISHOP IS NOT EASY TO KILL. Any method of killing that depends on end of round damage is unreliable because bishop's owner can save him by casting any enchantment. And suggesting that someone wastes lysis on bishop is a joke when that's pretty much the only way to kill a paladin before it gets shelled.

So what you're saying is, Bishop is overpowered because it forces it's caster to hold on to an enchantment and forces him to play an enchantment outside of the optimal time in order to save it.

Easy/Difficult to kill is a moot point, there are creatures that are much harder to kill than a Bishop is. And they don't even require you to have particular cards in hand to do it.

unless I crawl with him into hex controlled by you your creatures are pretty much doomed.

you can use whatever you want ..
Puddle for ele ... Ord Beast ... heck, if it bothers you so much you can even use Arena and teleport there any creature you have =P

I will not deny that the bishop is a powerful card, he can be devastating to decks that depend on an enchantment for the main power of their deck. But the bishop can also lose games as well. 4 flux is a painful cost to pay especially if a second flux well is captured. Majority of enchantments are cheaper to play. Also being able to deny your opponent a draw they might need by putting the bishop back on their deck can also be painful.

Possession is by far the best way to get rid of the bishop as it puts the bishop on top of the DL player's deck. Seeing as most CI decks using the bishop also have trade routes, the bishop then becomes a weapon you can push back against them.

With the addition of borderlands, enchantments have become a potent force, having simple enchantment removal cards like disenchant and to some extent restore nature's balance is insufficient to control their power, cards like the bishop, though seemingly overpowered help to balance the game. The bishop can still be overwhelmed and there are situations were the owner of the bishop needs to be very picky on whether or not to use it. All that can be suggested is that one learns to play enchantments to the detriment of the bishop player, they play location enchantments that they can keep out of enemy sight or they try decks that are enchantment free and have the CI player suffer with dead cards in hand.
