another suggestion:

i agree with the idea of changing the ec's to move from acorns to power.
if giving out too much power is a concern, one idea is to make power have a time limit (just like phantoms)
say have power have an expiration date of 90 or 120 days.
that way you can save enough power for domain or other tournament.
also have power continue to be tradeable just as it is now.
just a thought.

So... What's the plan, jed?

I know I'm willing to volunteer some programming. Illithid says he is as well, Altren will probably continue, though I haven't spoken to him about that specifically. I don't know about any artists and we could probably get a few donations here and there for hosting...

What's the plan? A bunch of us aren't quite ready to move to another game.

Thanks for the support guys.

I've had several people offer to keep programming on it. So it looks like things will keep moving along (maybe even faster now). I'm in the process of getting them all set up.

Jed, what are your thoughts on Power for EC again?

Are there anything specific qualifications you're looking for in terms of programmers? Just curious.

:(

I always loved this game and always will.
Good luck with whatever you will do now, jed, and hopefully you can come back to this once .. or as it appears here, hopefully Wilds will find enough volunteers to keep up the awesome work jed started.
This really made me sad... sigh

All I know Jed is you've done a great job with this game. Yes, it always takes a little while to fine tune things, but you've done a great job and now the game and domains are pretty well balanced.

The obstacle that I feel you may have run into with this game is that its not a game for dummies, which is a great thing. Its not a button masher, its not a who ever spends the most wins...it takes time, experience, and a lot of losing to become competative. The problem is with games is a majority of players want instant gratification, but what they don't realize is the best games take a little while to learn.

Just as this creation of yours called The Far Wilds has brought me and others a lot of happiness, I hope you choose to spend your time on something that brings you the same. You have a great product here, it may need some tweaking for brand new players to make them feel successful and get them hooked, but at least you have a great product. Your a very smart guy though and sometimes taking a step back and clearing your head makes the picture all that clearer.

Wrapping this up, thank you for your time, energy and patience. No one can ever say that you weren't a class act when it came to owning your game and trying to make it as enjoyable as you could. I just hope you know how great of a thing you made, sometimes you can't make the masses appreciate some great however, you have to trick them...lol.

Ok Guys, he's lost it. Jk, SC2 is a good game, but the single-player campaign is just plain silly... :P

Lol, you're still here? Honestly, I like that sentence though. It's like a gamer's words to live by.

Anyway Mist, you probably summed up how most of us feel....

...wait, what's this?
