If a building with salvage and 5 counters on it is destroyed by fissure, does the controller get 5 mana back? Or does the remove from game keep that from happening?

Why is that I've had the following both happen? 1 ) Emerald Springs dies and a creature of -1 health is next to it. Next round, that creature has 1 health. 2 ) Emerald Springs dies and a creature of -1 health is next to it. Next round, that creature is dead.

The text on salvage says you get the flux back if the entity is "removed", which I take to mean leaves the game by any manner. Haven't tested fissure to see if that is correct though. Destroyed and Sacrificed certainly give it.

I don't think the second is supposed to be possible. At end of round abilities like healing should occur before the removal of dead creatures. Was it possible the creature was at -2 or somehow took damage during the end of turn phase (for example standing on water)?

Nope. I'm quite sure on that last one. In the first case, I had an opponents creature at -1 health, and had the option to deal it another damage, but decided not to, because the springs was going to be destroyed and I thought his creature would die. The next turn, it was still very much alive.

In the second case, I assumed the lesson from the first one applied, so I left creatures of mine next to the springs, knowing they would be healed, but they weren't....



Another question: If you sacrifice a vapor mahal to a sink hole, does it go to the bottom or your library?

All your questions have answers in cards or behaviours descriptions. Salvage says about removing (that fissure do), so you get flux back. About Mahal - it says destroyed, but fissure remove figure, but not destroying it, so no, and also same effect if opponent used Negate on your Mahal.

About your Spring - sounds weird, probably you missed something. In all cases spring heal creatures if they need healing (so won't help if creature with full health stays in water).

I don't know about the fissure example, but I think the Emerald Spring situation depends on the order in which the figures came into play. I suspect when the creature comes into play first, it checks to see if it's next to the emerald spring, and if it is, it gets healed. If the Emerald Spring came into play first, it would be destroyed before the dying creature got its health check.

It shouldn't depend on the order. In the list you link, dying from damage comes after all entities take their end of round actions, which includes the emerald spring. If it happens otherwise, there is a bug.

I already told and kash explained it too - Spring always tries to heal adjacent creatures and it doesn't matter if it have 0 or less health or not.

Except that we've had it work two different ways. Both Hithlim and I have had case 1) and case 2) above happen.
