I was playing against aarongreen and I ascended his diplomat. It gave him the salvage flux back. Is that the way it should have worked? Or is that a bug?

Come on. Stop reporting "bugs" before reading what keywords mean. It is not bug.

That's why I asked!

The wiki says "if entity is removed". It doesn't say removed from what... This obviously means removed from game and destroyed, but I didn't know if returned to hand counted as removed, as the card is still both in the game and playable at that point, so it's not really removed...

I will edit the wiki to make this more clear to any future people that have the same question as I do.
