It's always interesting to find out these sorts of things.
Alias: Keyser
Pronunciation: kahy-zer / kaɪzər
Origins: One of my favorite movies of all time is 'The Usual Suspects'. The movie focuses on trying to figure out who the mysterious and brutal "Keyser Soze" is. (In the movie script, it is written Keyser and not Kaiser, as many seem to think.) In college, I had recently seen the movie and needed a name for one of my first online games (Quake -- yes, I'm THAT old). I decided on Keyser520. (520 was my initiation number into my fraternity). The name has stuck and been used in almost every other online game I have played since then. I started out as Keyser520 on TFW, but had login issues. Jed fixed it by changing the name.

Alias: Sunyaku
Pronunciation: Soon-yah-koo
Nicknames: aka Suny/Sun/Sunny
Origin: I've been using this name for about 8 years now in all the games I play. I invented it when I needed to create a character for the MMO Final Fantasy XI (Odin Server). Up until a little while ago, I was the only person in the world using this name online. Nowadays there's also some Asian dude using my name. Oh well. Most of the google hits are still mine, partially thanks to my notorious TFW forum whoredum.

I have used a number of different online names. Every few years I like to switch it up and create a unique name. Like a virtual phoenix, I rise from the ashes as powerful as ever! Also, I do believe in virtual reincarnation. (In case you were just asking yourself that very question). The following is my take on the matter at hand: Dark = unknown or mysterious Jello = fruit-flavored dessert (trade mark Jell-O) made from a commercially prepared gelatin powder... OR... hydrocolloid - a substance that forms a gel with water DarkJello = A mysterious fruit-flavored dessert that forms a gel with water, can take a severe beating, and then gets right back in your face for round 2, 3, 4, etc... Very fun topic Keyser! Cordially, DarkJello

I became Da Krazie Ork back when I would play Warcraft II over a LAN with some friends... obviously I always played Orcs. It's an alias I've used in a few other games as well although in most games I go under the name Mac-S. When I read about TFW, I thought the game would contain orcs and so KrazieOrk would be a good alias to use. But there were no orcs!!! :-O Thank goodness for Borderlands.

My back story is alot more boring than all of yours.
name: Theohe Pronounced: Theo
Backstory: I normally pick Theo which is short for Theodore my real name. Whooo crazy backstory! I use Theohe when Theo is already taken which is happening more often these days, or if names under 5 letters aren't allowed (Stupid rule in my opinion, any chance there can be admin allowed exceptions Jed?)

name: Altren Pronounced: er, well, Alt-ren Many times I tried to remember where this nickname came from, but I still don't know how I choosed/made it. The good thing about nickname that it sounds good and that it is always free to use I never seen "This nicknake already in use" message

Ugly Pug is the name of the beer I was drinking when I signed up for TFW. It's made by Rahr, the only brewery here in Fort Worth, TX. Pick some up if you're ever in town!

name:Billiska pronounced: bill-lis-ka
It came from my nickname in Thai - Bin - which means flying. But as you can see, it doesn't look good in english with all the bins on the street. So, my english name became Bill and the internet name is Billiska for uniqueness. However, it is quite disappointing as it is not unique. There's a player of a barbie dressing up game out there using the same name. DON'T think he/she is me!

Thomas Nighthawk was a shapeshifting character I created but never played in a GURPs game ages ago. I used the name for multi-player games in the Sun lab at my college and more or less stuck with it.
There are far too many Nighthawks online though, so I added the 42 to the end. Unfortunately, with 42 being the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything I've even run into at least one other Nighthawk42....
