Because it shouldn't give me an MF building in a deck that has no MF buildings.

Why not?
It gives you the buildings you need for the domains you need.
I have intentionally built decks in sealed that had NO buildings at all. They work just fine.

If you were trying to build a deck that didn't start out with a MF building, but got MF domain later by using Diplomats or Emmisaries or even Glimpse, but your early game strategy depended on drawing a Graveyard...
Or if you were trying to build one that had an early game Sylvan base and a mid-game DL domain through Ix... but your only base is a Grove..
These strategies are messed up with the autodraw happening like this on the first draw.

You'll still get your graveyard to start. You just can't guarantee that you won't ever draw a MF base if you need MF domain and don't have any immediately playable card in your deck that would give it to you.
Your Sylvan Groves plus DL Altar of Ix should work just fine since Altar of Ix does not require domains to cast and Groves are bases while Altars are not.

This system does make a lot of ideas unusable...keyser just gave some examples...but it appears some players like it, so i think there should be some sort of toggle switch, so you can turn it off for decks you dont want it, turn it on for decks you do. Just a thought.

I disagree that Keysers idea is unusable. Occasionally getting a card you don't want is a drawback and a potential weakness of the deck design, but doesn't completely eliminate it.
Autodraw appears to be working as intended and described, just not quite as desired in all cases.
Apparently it is also quite a confusing mechanic. I think being able to choose between old autodraw and new autodraw would just make that worse. If the general consensus is that it is good the new way thats the way it should stay. If we want to return to the old way, then that is ok too. However it works has consequences in deck design.

before it "broke" again, it was working to stop domain destruction... the only problem is when it does this behavior first turn.
Perhaps a check to not give domain buildings that are not in your deck?

Yeah, that's basically what i meant by toggle switch. probably should've been more clear.

So the issue is which unusual deck format (either building-free or only partially free, like yours, Keyser) should be made possible by the autodraw rules. I would go for the Nighthawk one, but this is only a personal preference. Actually, I think that sort of switch which has been proposed many times (autodraw rule ON/OFF) would do.
