Rule changes need to be PROMINENTLY KNOWN to the players. Bug fixes (especially ones that seriously change game play) need to be PROMINENTLY displayed to the players when they happen. Players should not be expected to visit and search the forums before every important game they play. If the game changes, players should be notified as soon as those changes happen within the game interface.

3 recent situations have me a bit flustered, and each have cost me at least 2 power.

The fact that I've lost TWO finals in the EC because of bugs is grating on me.
The fact that I've lost ONE game in the EC because of a change in the rules that I wasn't aware of is also grating.

Situation 1). IF the turn had gone according to plan, I would have played my diplomat, used the third domain for woven shadows to play a creature, sac the diplomat, have enough flux to lysis his threats and then destroy his buildings next turn with my creature. Unfortunately, during my honeymoon, it seems the rules for salvage have changed so that a sac'd diplomat doesn't give you flux. This SHOULD have been noted in the LOGIN screen, not waiting for me to find by reading through the forums or discovering when it makes me lose a game.

Situation 2). My opponent possessed a creature that I had put into play with woven shadows. He then sacrificed that creature with his crypt doctor. The result of this left TWO creature corpses (why????). I had a rangarock in hand, but couldn't play it, as it would give my opponent a HUGE advantage with the creature corpse left behind after his possession. I could have played my gather spirits to remove one corpse, but there was a SECOND one underneath it. If it wasn't there, I could have Ragnarok'd that turn and had a HUGE game advantage.

Situation 3). IF the card worked the way it was SUPPOSED to work, I would have killed his bone fortress by destroying the woven shadows on my Nether Plasma* that I put next to his fortress dealing it its final two points of damage. Unfortunately, woven shadows destroys the creature rather than removing it from the game (as the card text reads). The destroyed creature would give the bone fortress plus 1 health, and it wouldn't be destroyed. This proved to make ALL the difference in the game.

Situation 3a). When I put the NP in play with woven shadows, I expected to be able to spawn two other NP's, as it says that it comes into play when cast from hand, and Woven shadows says "Put creature into play FROM hand"

Altren says that bug from number 3 is now changed, and will be "fixed" in the next "update". But WHEN is the next update? will my deck all of a sudden play differently without me having any notice that the rules/bugs have changed on me?

I'd like to echo this sentiment. the saddest thing to me is when newish players leave frustrated because of unnecessary confusion. I don't know what the easiest solution is; perhaps having a subboard that only admins can post to and then having the three most recent threads included (subjects, timestamps) in the welcome message?

Situation 4) I was going to use WOVEN SHADOWS to put my LONG ROOT ELM into play.

It wouldn't let me, despite the fact that Elm is supposed to be BOTH a creature and a building.

It can be frustrating, I agree.

I would vote for a link on the lobby to a locked forum containing brief summaries of recent rule changes. Or maybe a link to a page on the wiki.

That makes it easy to check, but does not clutter the lobby with information most players won't need except once.

I agree: adding a link in the lobby to a summary of recent changes would very helpful, particularly with the date of the changes added. Finding out about changes by happenstance, either in game or luckily seeing a chat about it, is a poor way of going about it. Wading through the bug reports forum in the hope of finding a "fixed" reply can be very time consuming. An easily found link to these changes would be great.
